The History of The Disclosure
In August of 2001, James Howard, Chris Gorrie, and Omid Pourhashemi were bored. Chris had just gotten a crappy Yamaha guitar and and James' dad had an old yellow Squier Stratocaster. Omid was only 9 at the time, but he was the coolest nine year old anyone had ever seen. So Omid sat at the drums and started banging away. They jammed some and called themselves a band. Their name- Skidmark and the Victims. Soon they began writing songs and lyrics, which sucked, but it was a start. James was the only person who could sing decently, so he sang and played rhythm while Chris, who actually knew how to play guitar, played lead. They soon grew tired of their name and changed it to All of the Above. Omid lived far away, in El Cajon, and he was having trouble getting to practices, sadly, the aspiring drummer left the band. James knew a guy named Chase through his friend Danny who SAID he could play drums. He lasted a couple practices and then James and Chris just told him he sucked. So he quit. Then came a long resting period. They had a few practices with a friend of Chris' named Taco on bass. That didn't work out either. So pretty much nothing happened until... January 2002. James had a friend named Easton at school. Easton had just heard of a ska band called the Aquabats. He formed an Aquabats knockoff band called The Infernal Squirrels and asked James to play guitar. That fell apart. So then skip to the beginning of 8th grade. Easton reforms the Infernal Squirrels under the name of The Checked Republic with Bassist Trey Merrill and Keyboardist Devin Salemi. James played drums at first. Easton wasn't very good at guitar, so James asked Chris to join the band as the guitarist. They played a gig at Easton's church talent show and they decided to put Chris at drums and James at guitar. So they kept this lineup and played a couple of gigs at their school and then they got rid of Devin cuz he never came to practice. And then they got rid of Trey because he was being a dick supposedly. So they had a really gay lineup with James on guitar and Easton on Bass/Vocals and Chris on drums. Frankly, it sucked a longcock. They played Ofers going away party then pretty much it was school time. They met a guy at their school named Johnny, he knew how to play bass. So Johnny came to one practice, then quit. They had also met a guy named Andrew who fresh outta Deetroit. He was a crazy good drummer, so Chris moved to bass and Easton to Vocals. Then, they broke up because of artistic differences. In February, James and Chris and Andrew reformed the band under the name "The Thirteenth". They found Matt to play guitar in addition to James' guitar and vocals. James had a friend from school named Martin who played keyboards good, so he joined. They changed their name to The Disclosure. So here they are now, pretending to be cool.
